Qualifications

• 3+ years of Compliance Specialist or comparable affordable housing compliance experience.
• Hands-on HUD and LIHTC/Tax Credit recertification experience.
• Strong knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, Tax Credit, Section 8, EIV, eligibility requirements, income limits, and affordable housing compliance procedures.
• Experience completing annual/interim recertifications, voucher submissions, reporting, file backs, and compliance documentation.
• Strong organizational and file management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual and interim recertifications from start to finish, ensuring resident files remain accurate, complete, and compliant with HUD, LIHTC/Tax Credit, and Section 8 requirements.
• Review income, assets, household eligibility, AMI, income limits, set-asides, and supporting documentation to ensure files meet program requirements.
• Complete EIV requirements, HUD voucher submissions, monthly reporting, file backs, and other required compliance documentation.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready resident files while managing multiple deadlines and following up on missing documentation.
• Work directly with residents to obtain signatures, verifications, and required paperwork including proactive door-to-door follow-up.
• Partner closely with the property management team to support occupancy, compliance, and day-to-day operations at a fast-paced 230-unit community.
