The City of Aurora, CO is seeking an HUD Housing Counselor to assist clients with homebuying education, mortgage counseling, and foreclosure prevention under federal guidelines. You will analyze financial capacity, create action plans, and coordinate with lenders, Realtors, and HOAP partners to deliver fair housing services.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and at least one year experience in HUD programs, with strong communication and data-entry skills.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree or equivalent in real estate, business, marketing, human services, counseling or related field.
• Experience with HUD, CDBG, HOME, ESG programs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse clients.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate group education workshops following HUD and agency standards.
• Counsel clients to build financial capacity and understand the homebuying process.
• Develop individual action plans and record client communications in the management system.
• Conduct follow-ups to track progress and perform financial analysis for action plans.
• Prepare reports for management and participate in loan closings when required.
