Job summary

City of Aurora is seeking a housing counselor to assist clients in building financial capacity and navigating the homebuying process. You will conduct group education workshops in line with HUD and agency standards, and help clients create tailored action plans to meet their goals.

You will record all client communications in the Mpact PRO system and perform follow-ups by phone and email to ensure progress.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group education workshops following HUD and agency standards
• Help clients build financial capacity and understand the homebuying process through counseling
• Work with clients to create individual action plans to meet client needs
• Record all client communications, and update client management system Mpact PRO after each meeting or interaction with client/ lender for both (hard and electronic) files
• Conduct follow-ups via phone and/or email to determine whether the client is following their financial goal plan
