Southcoast Health is hiring a HUC-Nursing Assistant for the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. The role involves both patient care support and unit coordination, with an emphasis on hygiene, mobility and nutritional support under supervision.

The position requires a Massachusetts Nursing Assistant Certification, good computer skills (Meditech preferred), and CPR certification. The role includes evening/night shifts with weekend/holiday rotation and a sign-on bonus for new hires.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the Meditech computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and related duties as directed.
• Coordinate ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies.
• Support management in organizing unit patient-focused activities and care coordination.

We are searching for a talented HUC-Nursing Asst

*$1,500 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 36hrs

Shift: Evening/Night shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:15pm - 7:15am

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of Manager, Patient Care or Designee, perform a variety of office, secretarial and other related duties both within and in support of assigned unit as well as a variety of patient care duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintaining patient environment, etc. Responsible for efficient and effective coordination of services which ensure completion of daily activities of individual assigned nursing unit. Plan, organize, and direct all unit patient focused support activities including but not limited to coordinating ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies. Assist the Manager, Patient Care or Designee with patient care and other related duties and responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the Meditech computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Current CPR Certification.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $19.56 - USD $27.07 /Hr.
