Job summary

Egis is seeking a Maintenance and Facility Manager for our Sacramento, CA office to lead maintenance for the CA HSR project. This role requires relocation for non-local candidates and directly oversees a rolling stock expert while coordinating with track, catenary, signaling, telecom, and operations teams.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in rail design, construction, and maintenance, plus strong leadership, English fluency, and a Master’s degree. Local PE licensure is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in rail design, construction, and maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years in a management role overseeing rail infrastructure maintenance.
• High technical expertise in HSR infrastructure maintenance and asset management.
• Experience on a new high-speed rail line project.
• Engineering degree (Master’s or equivalent) required.
• California PE license is a strong plus.
• Fluent English mandatory.
• Proven leadership in multicultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Subject Matter Expert within the California HSR Authority.
• Define maintenance requirements for the project.
• Establish and maintain asset management policies and routines.
• Develop asset inventory, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and inspection plans.
• Specify support facilities at the end of the design phase.
• Support designers through to the start of construction.
• Oversee maintenance facilities for rolling stock, track, catenary, OCC, and related assets.
• Directly oversee a rolling stock expert and matrix-manage discipline experts.
