Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Orlando is seeking an HSE Supervisor to implement and support project safety plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead site-specific safety training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry. Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
  • Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.
  • Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
  • Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
