Job summary

RK Industries is seeking an HSE Superintendent to lead safety for a major construction project in Cheyenne, WY. The role focuses on reducing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safe work practices in the field.

You will partner with field teams, project leadership, subcontractors, and clients to monitor safety performance, coordinate training, investigate incidents, and support OSHA inspections while maintaining contract safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• At least 5 years of safety experience in construction.
• BCSP Certification (ASP/CHST/STSC) or OSHA 30 Construction.
• CPR/First Aid AED certification.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supervising direct reports and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead RK's health and safety programs in alignment with requirements.
• Support safer jobsites through inspections, safety surveys, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Advise leadership and project teams on compliance, prevention strategies, and site safety plans.
• Deliver and coordinate safety training, orientations, meetings, and refresher sessions.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
• Partner with project leadership, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to monitor safety performance and support OSHA inspections.

RK is hiring a HSE Superintendent to help lead safety for a hyper-scale construction project. You'll work closely with field teams, project leadership, subcontractors, and clients to strengthen jobsite safety, reduce risk, support compliance, and build a culture where every team member can work safely and confidently. What You'll Lead

• Lead RK's health and safety programs in alignment with federal, state, customer, and company requirements.
• Support safer jobsites through inspections, safety surveys, corrective actions, and consistent follow-up.
• Advise HSE leadership and project teams on compliance, prevention strategies, site-specific safety plans, and safety supply needs.
• Deliver and coordinate safety training, orientations, meetings, and refresher sessions for employees and field teams.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, complete reports, and recommend practical improvements.
• Partner with project leadership, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to monitor safety performance, support OSHA inspections, maintain contract safety requirements, and help reduce corporate EMR.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety
• 5+ years of Safety work experience.
• BCSP Certification of any of the following ASP, CHST, STSC and OSHA 30 Construction and CPR First Aid AED
• Ability to travel to job sites and build strong working relationships with field teams.
• Strong organization, computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Supervisory experience managing direct reports and subcontractors preferred.
