Job summary

PCL Digital Infrastructure, Inc. in Abilene, TX, is seeking a motivated HSE Student to support a national data center business unit. You will help implement HSE plans, train teams, and monitor safety performance on real projects during the May–August 2027 period.

The role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to safety processes in a leading General Contractor. Eligible students gain practical skills and network opportunities while contributing to safe, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• OH&S knowledge and regulatory awareness required.
• Exposure to environmental legislation and HSE processes preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills essential.
• Familiarity with construction terminology is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and safety tools.
• Pursuing a degree or diploma in OH&S during the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing the project HSE Plan and environmental requirements.
• Support project teams with HSE training and information.
• Help track HSE trends and develop action plans.
• Assist in hazard identification and safety tool development.
• Participate in HSE inspections and verify corrective actions.
• Support emergency response plan implementation and site security.
• Gather and review trade documentation for safety compliance.
• Ensure equipment/tool inspections are logged and compliant.
• Notifies stakeholders of incidents and supports investigations.
• Build positive relationships with team members.
