Job summary

Black Box is hiring a Data Center EHS Specialist to lead on-site safety for the construction of a landmark data center in Abilene, TX. You will apply PMO standards to drive safety, compliance, and timely delivery across project milestones.

The role requires hands-on safety program development, training delivery, hazard analysis, incident investigations, and documentation, with opportunities to influence a high-profile infrastructure initiative.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in construction in a similar role, data center proj preferred.
• Experience developing safety programs, hazard mitigation, and large-scale construction support.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety or BCSP certification or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements safety policies per OSHA regs and IIPP.
• Develops, implements, and delivers safety training programs.
• Inspects facilities to identify hazards and verifies corrective actions.
• Maintains safety documentation including audits, PT PS, JHAs and SDSs.
• Participates in accident investigations and supports related materials.
