Innova Solutions is hiring an EHS Specialist in Abilene, TX for a 6-month, full-time contract. You will plan and enforce safety policies, deliver training, inspect facilities for hazards, and maintain critical safety documents.

The role requires 2+ years in construction and a relevant EHS degree or BCSP certification, with strong communication and MS Office skills. The position emphasizes compliance with OSHA, IIPP, and hazard mitigation on large projects, with competitive pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the construction industry in a similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in an EHS discipline and/or BCSP certification (ASP, CHST, OHST, CSP, SMT, SMS, CET, GSP).
• Experience developing safety programs, hazard mitigation activities, and supporting large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement safety policies and procedures per OSHA regulations and IIPP.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Inspect facilities to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, verify implementation.
• Maintain safety documentation (audits, inspections, PTPs, JHAs, SDSs).
• Assist in accident investigations and support materials for hearings and insurance cases.
• Communicate effectively; proficient in MS Word and Excel.
