Job summary

Worley is seeking an HSE Specialist I to support the administration and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs on major projects in the USA. You will help promote a proactive safety culture, assist with risk assessments, implement controls, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience supporting health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Experience supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy, chemicals, infrastructure, mining, or major capital projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration of company health, safety, and environmental policies, programs, and procedures.
• Assist project teams in implementing HSE requirements and promoting a proactive safety culture.
• Participate in workplace inspections, audits, observations, and assessments to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments, job safety analyses, and incident prevention initiatives.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities, waste management programs, spill prevention efforts, and environmental monitoring activities.
• Support incident reporting, investigations, corrective action tracking, and lessons learned initiatives.
• Help maintain environmental, health, and safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and revision of HSE procedures, manuals, and project documentation.
• Monitor compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support employee orientations, training activities, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
• Assist with emergency preparedness planning and response activities as required.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on HSE-related matters.
• Support HSE reporting and performance tracking activities.
• Stay current on environmental, health, and safety regulations and communicate updates to project teams.
• Assist with the use and maintenance of HSE systems, databases, reporting platforms, and tracking tools.
