Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) in Mentor, OH, is seeking an HSE Specialist to support Health, Safety and Environmental programs within HSE and HR, ensuring adherence to Local, State, Federal and Safran regulations.

The role promotes a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement. Duties include documenting action plans and audits, maintaining HSE data and training records, OSHA reporting, incident investigations, and coordinating annual safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health, Safety and Environment or a related field.
• Three years or more experience in a HSE role within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Strong computer skills including HRIS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Effective communication skills with employees.

Responsibilities

• Document actions plans, audits and follow up; maintain records.
• Compile and analyze HSE data, KPIs, and reporting by department.
• Perform OSHA recordkeeping and annual reporting.
• Maintain EHS training records and certifications.
• Coordinate annual safety and training programs.
• Assist HSE Manager with incident reporting and investigations.
• Maintain records for emergency equipment and safety systems.
• Collaborate with HR on Workers' Compensation and safety providers.
• Conduct onboarding safety trainings and provide materials.
• Support JSA data accuracy with Quality and Leadership.
• Provide HR with safety communications regularly.
• Attend local safety councils and trainings.
