Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) seeks an HSE Manager to lead the health, safety, and environment strategy across the organization from Mentor, OH. You will collaborate with HR, Engineering, Quality, Leadership, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to embed safety into all processes.

The role serves as the primary resource for environmental, health, safety, and security matters, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety and accountability throughout CRT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety (EHS), Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years in environmental, health, and safety compliance in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, or similar regulated settings.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, presenting, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DHS, and applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, safety, and security regulations.
• Ability to adjust schedule to meet the demands of all shifts within the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage the HSE department while collaborating with internal departments, management and external experts to ensure safety goals and objectives are clearly defined within the organization.
• Lead the HSE Department to promote, educate, and engage all employees with safety initiatives and provide reporting tools for visibility, tracking and actions taken.
• Ensure regulatory compliance adherence to local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations and stay informed on changing laws.
• Analyze HSE performance metrics, audit results, and incident trends to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
• Organize and deliver safety and security company communications plan (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate HSE training programs and include training frequency.
• Develop, maintain, and administer safety programs including respiratory protection, hearing conservation, hazard communication, emergency action planning, lockout/tagout, PPE.
• Develop, monitor and implement internal audit structure and risk assessments to identify hazards and track corrective actions.
• Structure an annual continuous improvement plan for environmental, health, safety, and security programs.
