Job summary

ABB's two-year rotational trainee program invites enrolled students in Occupational Health & Safety or related fields to rotate through manufacturing operations, supply chain, and HSE initiatives across the Electrification business group in the US. You will design and execute projects, support risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement while gaining broad field experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety Management, Environmental, Health and Safety Engineering (or related), with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Preferred internship or co-op experience in related fields.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
• Proven project management experience with ability to manage timelines and deliverables.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced data analysis capabilities.
• Willing to relocate across the U.S. for each program rotation; relocation assistance provided.

Responsibilities

• Support risk assessments, ensure effective hazard controls are implemented, and assist supervisors in meeting regulatory, company, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate incident reporting and support investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety and environmental culture by coaching employees and reinforcing safe work practices.
• Support the implementation of HSE programs, projects, objectives, and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to diverse social events and establish a broad network within ABB.
