Job summary

ABB Inc. runs a two-year R&D Early Career Program designed to develop technical problem‑solving and leadership through engineering coursework and real projects across ABB's Electrification business area.

You will start with a July orientation and rotate through four 6‑month assignments, including continuous improvement, R&D, new product development, and manufacturing support at onsite locations. Training totals exceed 150 hours with accredited classes.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s engineering program with expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Enjoy solving technical problems and developing products and solutions.
• Desire to learn and grow from diverse experiences and people.
• Growth mindset with continual learning and improvement.
• Willing to relocate within the US; relocation assistance provided.
• Able to communicate in English.
• You have valid US work authorization and do not require visa sponsorship in the future.

Responsibilities

• Complete a rotational program across ABB Electrification R&D teams with potential cross‑functional rotations.
• Contribute to pioneering R&D efforts by developing and testing new engineering solutions.
• Participate in formal training to develop technical, functional, professional and leadership skills.
• Deliver assigned tasks/projects within the rotation period.
