Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Delhi, LA, US is seeking an HSE/Quality Coordinator to promote health and safety across the production environment. You will provide safety training, conduct audits, and make HSE/Quality recommendations to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.

Role focuses 90% on HSE activities with about 10% on quality, requiring strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and proactive safety leadership in a heavy-industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years HSE/Quality experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with quality testing and inspection procedures.
• Strong math, problem-solving and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster collaborative culture following health and safety programs and procedures.
• Alert management to serious health or safety issues and present solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
• Conduct and document Job Hazard Analyses for production environments.
• Investigate accidents to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Observe and coach managers and employees in hazard recognition and improvements.
• Maintain health and safety records including trainings and evacuations.
• Support environmental recordkeeping, permits, sampling and standards compliance.
• Conduct periodic environmental health and safety inspections and follow action plans.
