Placements24 is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to support operations in the Oil & Gas sector. This fully remote role focuses on implementing health, safety, and environmental policies across projects.

You will develop safe work procedures, perform risk assessments, investigate incidents, and deliver training to employees and contractors while ensuring regulatory compliance globally.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in Health, Safety, or Environmental Management.
• 3+ years of experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment techniques, and incident investigation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures across all operations.
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigation.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Organize and deliver HSE training for employees and contractors.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to support their operations in the Oil & Gas sector , with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment across all activities. This role, while based conceptually in Welkom, Free State , operates on a fully remote basis, allowing you to manage and implement HSE policies and procedures from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture to prevent incidents and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the organization's projects.

Key Responsibilities
