Job summary

Cater to You Catering Company is seeking an HSE Manager to lead our health, safety, and environmental initiatives. You will align safety with HR, engineering, quality, leadership, maintenance, and supply chain to embed safety in all processes.

You will drive regulatory compliance, train staff, manage reporting, and lead incident investigations to foster a culture of safety and accountability across our facilities in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HSE department and coordinate with HR, Engineering, Quality, Leadership, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to define safety goals.
• Promote safety initiatives and educate all employees; provide reporting tools and foster ownership of safety actions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations; act as primary regulator liaison.
• Analyze HSE metrics, audit results, and incident trends to identify improvements.
• Manage a preventive and corrective action system with on-time delivery for HSE items.
• Create and deliver safety and security communications on a set cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate HSE training programs; define training frequencies.
• Develop, maintain, and administer safety programs (RESP protection, hearing conservation, hazard communication, LOTO, PPE).
• Develop and monitor internal audits, risk assessments, exposure monitoring, and compliance evaluations.
• Structure an annual continuous improvement plan for HSE programs based on feedback and results.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, environmental incidents, and safety concerns; implement corrective actions.
• Oversee hazardous waste management activities with Maintenance, Lab, and WWT technicians.
• Develop emergency preparedness programs, conduct drills, and coordinate with internal/external resources.
• Prepare and submit environmental, health, and safety reports, permits, and filings on time.
• Represent the company during HSE regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions; support audits with documentation.
