Job summary

Cinterra is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead safety leadership, ensure operational compliance with safety standards, and align policies with regulations. The role supports departments and subcontractors in Virginia projects.

The ideal candidate will develop safety strategies, implement effective programs, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with site management and external vendors to manage safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• OSHA 510 certification required; OSHA 500 preferred; OSHA 10/30 certifications advantageous.
• Five years of related supervisory safety experience in construction/electrical fields.
• Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and ability to interpret changes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication.
• Must have valid US driver's license and ability to lead safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support creation of safety and compliance strategic goals.
• Ensure leadership has activity-based safety goals to drive culture and results.
• Supervise safety and compliance staff company-wide.
• Design and implement safety programs to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Communicate safety strategy to leadership and monitor progress with metrics.
• Lead incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide training to supervisors and ensure regulatory compliance across sites.
• Identify best practices and drive continuous safety improvements.
