Responsibilities:
- Implement a management system and plan for OHS according to the standard OHSAS in the project.
- Control and periodically update health and safety rates, objectives, and KPI of the OHS plan for the project, including safety procedures, accident reports, nonconformities, investigations, emergency procedures, drills, etc.
- Draft and update HSE induction and campaign training contents.
- Review pre-task talk records and work permit systems.
- Review and revise safety control procedures, including method statements and risk assessments.
- Audit subcontractors and ensure implementation of HSE plans and procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and high potential cases, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Manage active records of OHS inspections on-site and for external personnel.
- Develop procedures for machinery review according to coding systems.
- Maintain and update HSE logbook and records of findings at the project level.
- Review daily HSE inspections and close out non-conformities.
- Ensure compliance with Belgium Texas local regulations.
- Draft and update emergency procedures.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Support HSE meetings with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Maintain lesson learned records.
- Prepare monthly reports.
- Manage environmental certifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or a technical discipline.
- 4-5 years of experience in health, safety, environmental, and regulatory work, ideally in photovoltaic solar plant construction.
- OSHA 500 certification.
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Team-oriented attitude.
This position is based in Houston and requires supervision of various company job sites.
