Rosendin Electric, Inc is seeking a mid-level HSE Manager I to lead implementation of Project Safety Plans and oversee health, safety, and environmental practices on active construction sites in California. The role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating with field leadership and subcontractors, and ensuring regulatory compliance for safe, productive work environments.

Qualifications

• 4-year related degree and 4 years related experience, plus CHST certification
• Or 7 years relevant experience and CHST
• Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites

Responsibilities

• Identify, document, and recommend corrective actions for hazardous conditions
• Ensure timely resolution of safety issues
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and develop site-specific safety plans
• Deliver safety training based on program needs
• Lead injury and incident investigations; analyze and share lessons learned
• Support pre-task planning and job site safety meetings
• Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure safety compliance
• Coordinate with field leadership to identify training needs and high-risk activities
• Ensure compliance with LOTO procedures and energization protocols
• Review project one-line diagrams and MOPs
• Issue and monitor permits
• Promote safe environments and mentor junior safety staff
• Compile safety data; prepare regulatory reports
• Assist with emergency planning as needed
