The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking an HSE Manager for federal projects in Manhattan, KS.

The role focuses on implementing health, safety and environmental processes, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining required safety records and reporting for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. The candidate will lead safety meetings, support accident investigations, and ensure adherence to corporate EHS standards across projects while facilitating ongoing training and program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan, adhering to corporate, divisional and regional programs.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel; plan to eliminate hazards and minimize risks.
• Conduct quarterly on-site EHS audits and inspect project site, equipment and processes for compliance.
• Perform accident investigations and incident reporting for management review.
• Escort injured employees to treatment and ensure EHS protocols are followed.
• Advise on Industrial Hygiene protocols; perform Environmental Monitoring.
• Manage Drug-Free Workplace policy including testing programs.
• Provide training on EHS requirements and coordinate new hire orientation.
• Administer the SPAT process on assigned projects.
• Provide weekly EHS update to EHS Leadership.
