Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a HSE Manager for the Midwest Transportation Division in the Chicagoland area. You will lead site-specific EHS plans, coordinate subcontractor safety programs, and drive incident investigations and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

You will also manage training, environmental monitoring, and the SPAT process, while supporting the Project Management team to minimize risks and losses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, IH, Civil Eng or CM
• CHST Certification required
• Minimum 5 years of construction EHS experience
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization
• Knowledge of regulations and hazard management
• Some travel required

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific EHS plans with project team
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and audits
• Conduct on-site EHS audits and inspections for compliance
• Perform accident investigations and incident reporting
• Advise on Industrial Hygiene and environmental monitoring
• Manage Drug-Free Workplace and employee testing programs
• Provide EHS training and orientation for personnel
• Administer SPAT process on projects
• Deliver weekly EHS updates to leadership
