Job summary

HAILIANG COPPER TEXAS INC in Bowling Green, KY is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to join as an early leadership hire for a new manufacturing operation.

The role will build the HSE program during startup, set standards, and collaborate with engineering, HR, and operations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. As production begins, you will lead ongoing HSE management and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety requirements.
• Experience developing and implementing written safety programs and procedures.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root-cause analyses, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility startup and HSE program development during construction and commissioning.
• Establish, implement, and maintain HSE programs, procedures, training, and compliance systems.
• Coordinate environmental permits, registrations, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Lead investigations of injuries, incidents, and environmental events with root-cause analysis.
• Develop and deliver HSE training and drive a strong safety culture across operations.
