Job summary

Mattr is seeking an HSE Specialist to enhance safety performance at the Blythewood manufacturing site. In this role, you will work closely with site leadership to foster a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with corporate HSE standards.

Your responsibilities include implementing safety programs, conducting training, and supporting safety initiatives across the site, while maintaining a significant on-site presence.

Qualifications

• University degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Fire Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably heavy manufacturing or construction-related settings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership to implement a proactive safety culture.
• Execute advanced HSE programs beyond regulatory compliance.
• Lead and support site assessments tied to QHSE audits.
• Drive key safety deliverables including Job Safety Analyses.
• Deliver and facilitate HSE training programs.
• Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor to reinforce safety practices.
