Job summary

Shawcor's Blythewood, SC site seeks an HSE Specialist to elevate safety performance by partnering with site leadership to embed robust health, safety, and environmental programs into daily operations. Qualifications

  • University degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Fire Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably heavy manufacturing or construction-related settings.
  • HSE certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE systems and tools.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs across diverse audiences.

  • Support implementation and adoption of Stop Work Authority and other critical safety initiatives across the site.
  • Deliver and facilitate HSE training programs to build capability and awareness across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to influence safe behaviors and ensure alignment with company safetyobjectives.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor (minimum ~50%) to reinforce safety practices and engage employees directly.

As an HSE Specialist, you will play a critical role in elevating safety performance at the Blythewood manufacturing site by partnering closely with site leadership to build a proactive, high-impact safety culture.
