Job summary

MAHLE Thermal and Filter Systems US seeks an HSE Representative to lead the site toward zero injuries and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. You will support planning, coordinating, and implementing safety programs, investigations, and training for facility personnel.

The role requires a degree in environmental engineering or OH&S and 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with certification desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or other related disciplines from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Knowledge of and practical experience in OSHA, EPA, ISO certification, and other compliance requirements.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Certification is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site to the goal of zero injuries and implement the safety behavior program.
• Plan, coordinate, promote, maintain, and implement all environmental, health, and safety activities to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
• Investigate process failures that lead to workplace accidents and environmental impacts, and monitor accidents and incidents.
• Develop and implement environmental compliance programs related to hazardous waste, air permits, storm water, wastewater, and emergency response plans, including maintaining ISO 14001 EMS and certifications.
• Maintain logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain Workers' Compensation programs, return-to-work and light-duty programs, and cost containment initiatives.
• Provide environmental, health, and safety training programs and ensure technical training for facility personnel.
• Participate in product and process reviews to minimize safety and occupational health hazards.
• Manage OSHA standards and compliance (hearing conservation, PPE, Lock-Out/Tag-Out) and other programs.
