Job summary

Turn Up Talent is seeking an HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental programs across manufacturing and distribution operations. You will promote a proactive safety culture, develop procedures ensuring regulatory compliance, and oversee training, audits, and incident investigations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of manufacturing HSE leadership experience, with strong knowledge of regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of health, safety and environmental leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the HSE leader for operations, promoting a proactive safety culture.
• Develop and implement procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment compliant with regulations and best practices.
• Observe the parameters of collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Design and deliver training programs for employees, visitors, and contractors regarding safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Manage the forklift certification program, ensuring all operators maintain current training and certifications.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) programs to ensure chemical documentation is properly cataloged and accessible.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Analyze HSE data to identify trends and track KPIs.
• Lead the company safety committee.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct required drills.
• Ensure completion of all required HSE recordkeeping, reporting, and posting requirements, including OSHA documentation.
• Partner with insurance carriers in the management of workers’ compensation cases.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies and community stakeholders to support safety initiatives.
