Job summary

Phillips 66 is hiring an University Intern - Health, Safety and Environment to gain hands-on experience on meaningful projects. The internship covers regulatory compliance, safety programs and environmental initiatives across multiple locations.

Gain exposure to accident prevention, process safety, industrial hygiene and more while networking with industry experts. The program requires 11 weeks minimum, and the role supports growth within our HSE teams.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related STEM field.
• More than 30 hours of earned college credit and pursuing the degree for the internship duration.
• Graduation date August 2027 or later and eleven weeks minimum internship duration.
• Willing to comply with respirator/face mask requirements when necessary.
• Willing to obtain TWIC as required by some positions.
• Preferred: GPA 3.0+; prior Phillips 66 internship experience; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in one or more HSE functional areas, including safety, health, and environmental stewardship.
• Learn and network with experts inside and outside the company to build technical and professional skills.
• Assist in developing plans, programs and regulatory compliance procedures to support safe operations.
