Job summary

Phillips Medisize Internship Program is seeking Environmental Health & Safety interns for the Summer 2027 season at multiple Wisconsin locations (Phillips, Eau Claire, New Richmond). The 12‑week internship provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to safety programs in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related degree program, possess OSHA knowledge, and are legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Stewardship, Risk Control, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering related degree program.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-site safety committee activities and exposure to lockout/tagout and machine guarding.
• Maintain/update injury prevention and workplace violence prevention plans.
• Assist with environmental functions for the facility and partner with onsite management to ensure program ownership.
• Support safety initiatives with guidance from local safety, health and environmental personnel, including incident investigations, safety audits, and process/procedure writing.
