Job summary

Chevron is offering Health, Safety and Environment Internships at multiple U.S. locations, including California sites such as Richmond and Bakersfield.

Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene projects that improve operational excellence and workforce health and safety. The program includes real project work, access to modern tools, and mentorship from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Industrial Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering (environmental), Civil Engineering (environmental), Environmental Sciences, Safety Science, or Geology/Hydrogeology.
• Willingness to work in both domestic and international locations as opportunities arise.
• Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Support development of procedures and guidelines.
• Contribute to emissions estimates and reduction studies.
• Assist with environmental impact assessments and control technology assessments.
• Support site remediation assessments and waste management solutions.
• Help develop and deliver safety courses and inspections.

Education

Industrial Health and Safety (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD)

Industrial Hygiene (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD)

Public Health

Occupational Safety and Health (Master's/PhD preferred)

Environmental Engineering (Environmental emphasis)
