Job summary

This Operating Company (OpCo) based position will lead the implementation of prevention-focused health, safety and environmental (HSE) and security program. The position will establish, execute and deliver OpCo-specific strategy that supports Sysco's overall HSE objectives, including security and crisis preparedness objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certifications with equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of hands-on environmental and safety experience in warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or transportation operation.
• Has CSP or equivalent certification; other safety certifications are desirable.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage meeting company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of health, safety and environmental (HSE) strategy in line with Corporate HSE and Security goals.
• Develop HSE plans to reduce injuries, incidents and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate HSE strategy with Senior Leadership and support site management in implementation.
• Design metrics to track progress, identify gaps and drive accountability.
• Lead audits, incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Interface with OSHA, DOT, EPA and state/local regulators; coordinate annual HSE training plans.
