Job summary

FORVIA is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support the Health, Safety, and Environmental team in achieving zero accidents and minimizing environmental impact at our site in the United States. You will assist the HSE Manager, monitor regulatory compliance, coach employees on safety policies, and manage emergency actions and workers' compensation processes.

The role involves reviewing PPE and machine safety protocols, coordinating with local authorities, and contributing to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Health, Safety & Environment related degree preferred.
• Internal or Lead Auditor in EMS, HSMS or related management system preferred.
• Experience in a plant or in an industrial environment.
• Experience of at least 1 year in Workers' Compensation claims management (USA).
• Professional safety certifications preferred (e.g. CSP, CIH).

Responsibilities

• Assist HSE Manager in all duties.
• Monitor legal compliance and manage site relations with local government and regulatory organizations.
• Coach or support site employees on safety and environmental policies.
• Supervise first aid and local medical care procedures.
• Coordinate emergency actions and carry out initial accident inquiries.
• Investigate and follow-up on Workers' Compensation Claims as directed.
• Manage return to work and adherence of safety protocols.
• Review operator standardized work instructions for PPE usage and safety protocols.
• Participate in HSE network and report indicators (e.g. LTI, medical treatment, near miss, audits).
• Assist with emergency preparedness and response actions.
