Job summary

Forvia is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support the Health, Safety, and Environmental team. You will assist the HSE Manager, monitor regulatory compliance, communicate safety policies, supervise first aid, and coordinate emergency actions to uphold the company’s zero-accident goals.

You will also investigate claims, manage return-to-work, procure safety equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement of safety programs while collaborating with plant personnel and external regulators.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or HSE related field is preferred.
Auditing EMS/HSMS or related management systems is a plus.
Experience in a plant or industrial environment.
Experience with Workers’ Compensation claims management (USA) desirable.
Professional safety certifications preferred (CSP, CIH, etc.).

Responsibilities

Assist HSE Manager in all duties.
Monitor legal compliance and manage site relations with local government and regulatory bodies.
Communicate safety and environmental policies and coach site employees.
Supervise first aid and local medical care procedures.
Coordinate emergency actions and initial accident investigations.
Investigate Worker’s Compensation Claims as directed.
Manage return to work and adherence to safety protocols.
Order equipment and supplies.
Review PPE usage and safety protocols in operator instructions.
Participate in the HSE network and report indicators.
Assist with emergency preparedness and response actions.
Propose continuous improvement ideas in efficiency and cost reduction.
Share best practices across the organization and site.
Drive or participate in HSE training per plan.
Conduct risk analysis and propose improvements to working conditions.
