Job summary

Mach Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to support safety program implementation, conduct new hire orientation, and perform on-site safety audits at Texas worksites.

The role involves training, incident investigations, and facilitating safety meetings while coordinating with clients and management to improve safety performance. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of safety experience preferred.
• OSHA, DOT knowledge and safety regulations.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safety program implementation, training, audits, and on-site safety meetings.
• Conduct New Hire Orientation.
• Perform safety audits and environmental assessments at worksites.
• Provide training for new hires and current employees.
• Assist with incident investigations and follow-up actions.
• Attend client meetings, trainings, and evaluations as required.
• Report weekly/quarterly inspections across projects and equipment.
• Facilitate weekly safety meetings and disseminate incident trends.

• Job Location: Texas - TX
• Position Type: Full Time
• Travel Percentage: Up to 25%

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists managers/supervisors with safety program implementation, training, audits, and on site safety meetings.
• Perform Mach Energy Services New Hire Orientation
• Performs safety audits, visits, and environmental assessments for worksites
• Conducts training and retraining for new hires and existing employees
• Assists in managing and assisting employees with incidents including doctor visits, ER, follow-up care, and incident investigations
• Participates in client required meetings, training, investigations, and evaluations
• Reports weekly and quarterly inspections of companywide projects, vehicles, equipment, etc
• Facilitates weekly safety meetings
• Gathers and disseminates incident details, near-misses, client and government recommendations and trends
• Develop and present safety related data and trends to management personnel on a periodic basis
• Manage and inventory safety equipment (PPE, fall protection, etc) and order as needed
• Maintain man hour data and report to customers on a weekly basis, or as needed
• Manages third party systems such as: ISNetworld, Veriforce, etc.
• May be required to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
• 1+ years of safety experience preferably in the oil & gas industry
• Advanced knowledge of industry standards regarding OSHA, DOT, and safety regulations
• Proficient general office and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data and information
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
• Advanced oral and written communication skills

Preferred

• 2+ years of college
• Professional safety certifications

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Long periods of sitting and standing may be necessary
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions
• Climbing and walking daily
• Driving daily to various locations
