Job summary

Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Multiple Disabilities Support at the high school level. The role focuses on supporting instruction, implementing lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning environment.

It requires collaboration with teachers and dedication to student success within a special education program. The position is full-time (7 hours per day, 188 days/year) with benefits including health coverage, life insurance, EAP, paid time off, disability

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have or obtain and maintain a current certificate in First Aid and CPR.
• Experience with students with multiple disabilities is preferred.
• Comfort with mobility, positioning, personal care, and use of adaptive equipment to support student independence.
• Must have or obtain LIU-approved crisis management and intervention certificate (preferred).
• Must complete PA Dept. of Education mandated competencies within one year from hire.
• Twenty hours of professional development related to assignment each year.
