Job summary

Frederick County Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Instructional Assistant at Lincoln Elementary School (High-Needs School). The role supports students with IEPs, under the direction of a special education teacher, and may include personal care assistance and lifting as needed.

The position requires strong communication, reliability, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 48 college credits or passing of ParaPro Assessment Test required for Title One Schools.
• Clear, concise communication in both oral and written form.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications.
• Capable of performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, assist, and support students with IEP goals and objectives.
• Work under the direction of a certificated FCPS staff.
• Communicate and document student progress.
• Set up and adapt materials and assistive devices as directed.
• Assist with administering, scoring, and recording assessments.
