Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education, science education, biology or related field.
• Experience teaching science to high school students or college undergraduates.
• Master’s degree or teaching credential in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high-quality, engaging biology lessons differentiated to meet student needs.
• Regularly assess students and curriculum, adapt content, and communicate results to parents.
• Collaborate with clinicians and teachers to support twice-exceptional students.
• Map and evaluate curriculum; collaborate to ensure K-12 science alignment.
• Develop and teach electives; maintain organized learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records using Veracross and portfolios to illustrate progress.
• Provide scaffolding and high expectations to empower student learning.
• Plan cross-curricular, inquiry-based projects with staff; communicate with families.
