The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an HS/Associate Scientist 1 for a laboratory-based role in environmental toxicology. You will conduct experiments, generate data, and support trainees and lab members. Occasional travel to rural communities (<10% FTE) may be required.

Position Summary
This is a laboratory-based, HS/Associate Scientist 1 position in an environmental toxicology research laboratory in the UNM-Department of Pathology, School of Medicine. The lab does a mix of pre-clinical, in vitro and clinical laboratory-based science. The successful candidate will be responsible for assuming a technical expert role in the laboratory to regularly conduct experiments and generate data as well as assist trainees and lab members with their experiments. Must be a self-starter, productive, independent, motivated and a team-player. There may be occasional (<10% FTE) opportunities for travel to rural communities for research purposes.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. Contract will renew on an annual basis after June 30, each year, contingent on job performance and available funding.
