Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking an HRIS Workday Team Lead to sustain and enhance the Workday platform for 3,000+ staff across HR domains such as compensation, learning, talent, recruiting, time, absence, payroll, and benefits.

You will guide a multi‑person HRIS team, partner with HR stakeholders, and participate in hands‑on Workday configuration and integrations while steering two biannual releases and enabling strategic improvements across the tenant.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Workday HRIS Administration or related field.
• Coaching, training and development of team members.
• Advanced knowledge of Workday concepts and HRIS architecture.
• Experience with HRIS strategy and roadmap planning.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and development of the Workday Platform across HR areas (Compensation, Learning, Talent, Recruiting, Time, Absence, Payroll, Benefits).
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the HRIS team; review Workday configurations before production.
• Lead bi-annual Workday releases and integrations; manage testing and communications to end users.
• Oversee ticket ownership, prioritize work, and align with HR leadership on improvements.
