Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced Workday Specialist to administer, configure, and optimize HRIS across multiple modules. You will partner with HR and business leaders to gather requirements and implement efficient solutions that enhance accuracy and productivity.

Responsibilities include managing security, reporting, and dashboards, supporting implementations, and delivering end-user training while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required.
  • 3–5 years of Workday system administration, analysis, or HRIS support experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including payroll, compensation, performance, and talent management.
  • Advanced data analysis and Excel skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday modules (BP's, Security, HCM, Time Tracking, Payroll, Absence, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting).
  • Collaborate with leaders to assess needs, collect requirements, and recommend efficient solutions.
  • Support Workday implementations and system updates through testing, documentation, and communication.
  • Troubleshoot issues with internal teams and external partners.
  • Analyze business processes to identify system and workflow improvement opportunities.
  • Provide user training, documentation, and support for Workday usage.
  • Monitor updates, releases, and best practices to maximize HR technology value.
  • Document HRIS processes, guides, and best practices.
  • Manage user security roles and data governance.
  • Develop and maintain HRIS reports and dashboards (calculated fields, composite, BIRT).
  • Integrate Workday with internal and external systems and test integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy laws and audits (PIPA, GDPR).
  • Coordinate change management and user adoption with stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Workday support and vendors to resolve issues and coordinate enhancements.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday modules, including BP's, Security, HCM, Time Tracking, Payroll, Absence, Advanced Compensation, and Recruiting.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to assess needs, gather requirements, and recommend solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support Workday module implementations and system updates through testing, documentation, and communication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for system and workflow improvements.
  • Provide user training, documentation, and support to ensure effective use of Workday functionality.
  • Monitor system updates, releases, and best practices to ensure the organization maximizes the value of its HR technology ecosystem.
  • Provide end-to-end configuration experience for Workday solutions, including legacy data conversion and integration understanding.
  • Research and advise on Workday best practices, module dependencies, reporting, and dashboard capabilities.
  • Develop and document HRIS processes, user guides, and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain user security roles and access to ensure appropriate data governance and compliance.
  • Perform data integrity audits and reconciliation to maintain accurate and reliable HR information.
  • Develop, test, and maintain custom and standard Workday reports and dashboards (e.g., calculated fields, composite, and BIRT reports) to support HR and business leaders.
  • Support Workday integrations with internal and external systems, including troubleshooting and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, privacy laws (e.g., PIPA, GDPR), and audit requirements.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to communicate system changes, facilitate change management, and drive user adoption.
  • Liaise with Workday support and third-party vendors to resolve system issues and coordinate enhancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Workday system administration, analysis, or HRIS support.
  • Strong understanding of HR business processes, including payroll, compensation, performance, and talent management.
