Job summary

Vedder Price LLP in Chicago seeks an experienced HRIS Manager to lead hands‑on administration, development, integration, and optimization of HR technology platforms including UKG, ViDesktop, and PolicyTech.

You will maintain data integrity, run audits, develop reports, and coordinate with HR, Payroll and IT to drive system improvements. Hybrid work options and competitive rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 8+ years HRIS administration experience in a professional services environment required.
• 2 years minimum people management experience.
• 1 year HRIS project management and systems implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of HR systems (UKG, ViDesktop, PolicyTech); testing, configuration updates and troubleshooting.
• Provide end-user support, research and resolve issues; perform maintenance and improve efficiencies.
• Write and maintain reports and queries with high accuracy; support data needs across departments.
• Develop data integrity protocols between HR, Accounting, Finance and other internal systems.
• Design and develop communication strategies for system integrations and updates.
• Maintain HR and payroll data integrity; run queries and audits.
• Identify gaps and document improvements to automate processes.
• Serve as liaison with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Act as technical point-of-contact for functional areas; assist SMEs with data integrity and testing.
• Maintain SOPs for HRIS workflows and processes.
• Support UKG upgrades, patches, testing, and performance management.
• Manage UKG modules including self-service for compensation, attendance and benefits.
• Collaborate on annual salary review processes and compliance reporting.
• Maintain knowledge of potential system enhancements and strategic improvements.
