ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England’s ongoing transition to clean energy.

The HRIS & Compensation Specialist is a key member of the Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS team, responsible for maintaining, reporting, and visualizing data to enable informed discussions and data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for accuracy, a drive for process efficiency, and the ability to organize and analyze large data sets to identify workforce and program trends.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Manage daily HRIS input, maintenance, and data integrity for transactions, procedures, report writing, and processes
  • Collaborate with HRIS vendors to develop, monitor, troubleshoot benefit carrier feed files, and manage data imports/exports
  • Generate workforce reports and metrics, including designing custom reports and supporting HR requests
  • Create Excel dashboards and KPI visualizations
  • Assist HR with reporting and analysis, including special projects for the Director of C&B HRIS or CHRO
  • Serve as a liaison for Payroll/Finance, supporting monthly reporting, accruals, and special requests
  • Prepare and submit data for audits and compliance reporting (EEOC, state requirements)
  • Support onboarding and employee change processes
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, identifying opportunities for simplification
  • Support compensation operations, including data management for annual planning, benchmarking surveys, and workflow approval templates

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, IT, or related field
  • At least three years of experience with HR systems preferred
  • Expertise in Excel, including dashboard creation
  • HRIS experience; Dayforce preferred
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills
  • Critical thinking and hypothesis testing skills using data
  • Attention to detail, organizational, and planning skills
