Remote Role Details

This is a remote role requiring occasional meetings at various Legacy locations across the Portland Metro area. All new hires must visit a designated Legacy Health office in Portland, Oregon, prior to their start date for a health assessment and to complete onboarding paperwork.

Organization Overview

As the largest nonprofit health system in the Portland-Southwest Washington and mid-Willamette Valley areas, Legacy Health operates six hospitals, including Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, dedicated solely to children’s care. We run over 70 primary, specialty, and urgent care clinics, employ nearly 3,000 doctors and providers, and have more than 13,000 employees. Our services also include labs and a research center. Major partnerships include PacificSource Health Plans and the Unity Center for Behavioral Health, a collaborative mental health crisis center operated with regional health systems and community partners.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level consultation to Compensation customers at Legacy Health.
  • Manage daily support activities for Compensation, including maintaining department databases with employee information and market salary and pay practice data.
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: One year of applicable HR generalist experience required; three or more years in healthcare compensation preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Professional certification in a specialty area is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, along with customer service skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Tact and diplomacy are essential. Proficiency with personal computers, Excel, Word, and HRIS applications is required. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to HR, data collection and reporting, judgment, and problem-solving skills are also necessary.

Pay Range

USD $29.30 - USD $41.90 per hour.
