Job summary

University Health in San Antonio seeks an HRIS Benefits Analyst to support benefits administration with robust system design, testing and maintenance. You will ensure data accuracy for internal use and vendor reporting, helping the HR team meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include building queries in PeopleSoft, validating vendor data, and running PeopleSoft and SQL reports to support benefits operations and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required
• A minimum of three years’ recent experience administering or providing service for insurance benefits, COBRA and related benefits preferred
• Thorough understanding of ERISA, Section 125/Flexible Spending Accounts, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA required
• PC and Windows experience including spreadsheets, database management and word processing; VLOOKUP highly preferred

Position Summary:

The HRIS Benefits Analyst researches, analyzes, designs, and maintains systems in support of Human Resources administration that are essential to the operations of University Health. Monitors Human Resources data information needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet the internal and external requirements. Must be thorough and accurate in testing and implementation of database changes.Participates in Human Resources projects, events, and activities as assigned.

Experience/Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required.

A minimum of three year’s recent experience administering or providing service for insurance benefits, COBRA and associated benefits is preferred.

Thorough understanding of legislation to include ERISA, Section 125/Flexible Spending Accounts, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA is required.
