Job summary

Obra Capital, Inc. seeks an Associate, HRBP to serve as a dedicated HR business partner to our Analyst through VP levels in New York. The role emphasizes employee relations, performance management and talent development within a collaborative team.

You will help run internship programs, support the broader people strategy with the Head of Human Resources, and partner with internal teams on hiring, immigration, and learning initiatives. This is a fast-growing asset management firm.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years HR experience with HRBP preferred
• Exposure to campus and internship recruiting
• Strong client-service orientation and relationship skills
• Collaborative, team-first approach with cross-functional work
• Experience with ATS/HRIS systems
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional discretion

Responsibilities

• Act as HRBP for Analyst to VP population; build trusted relationships and address development goals
• Manage new hire orientations, check-ins, and exit interviews for assigned levels
• Assist in performance management processes, including feedback cycles
• Support HR generalist functions such as immigration, employee relations, and learning and development
• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives
• Respond to DDQ/ODD HR-related requests with internal teams
• Lead internship programs and other summer programs
• Provide recruiting backup support as needed
• Provide onsite HR support for acquisitions and integration activities
