Job summary

Ladders seeks an experienced HR Workday Transformation Consultant to lead HR and payroll transformation initiatives for a growing practice in the Finance & Insurance space. You will partner with HR, HRIS, payroll, and senior stakeholders to assess processes, build business cases, and guide end-to-end transformation.

The position is remote for US-based candidates and offers $110,000–$130,000 annually, with opportunities to contribute to practice growth and mentor junior consultants.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in HR transformation, HR technology, or HR operations (consulting preferred).
• Hands-on in at least two full Workday HCM implementations as client lead, PM, or advisory partner.
• Knowledge of Workday HCM and its integration with payroll and finance systems.
• Experience in HR system selection and systems integrator procurement.
• Ability to design and deliver Workday training to HR teams at all levels.
• Strong understanding of US HR and payroll practices, including multi-state payroll and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and current-state reviews of HR and payroll processes, providing options for change.
• Build business cases for HR technology investments, detailing benefits, costs, risks, and timelines.
• Design target operating models for HR and HRIS teams, focusing on roles and governance.
• Run Workday HCM system selection exercises, comparing Workday with other platforms.
• Manage systems integrator procurement, including writing RFPs and leading evaluations.
• Plan and manage client engagements to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Assess training needs and deliver Workday training to HR teams, both in person and online.

For our client, we are seeking a HR Workday Transformation Consultant to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This consultant will help shape HR and payroll transformation efforts for a growing practice serving complex clients. The role combines advisory leadership, Workday implementation expertise, and strong business acumen to guide decisions that improve operating models, technology choices, and delivery outcomes. You will partner closely with HR, HRIS, payroll, finance, and senior client stakeholders to assess current-state processes, build compelling business cases, and support end-to-end transformation efforts. The position also offers opportunities to contribute to practice growth, thought leadership, and the development of junior consultants.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

• Strong presentation skills for engaging with senior stakeholders
