Responsibilities

• Conduct routine field investigations of procedures, complaints, grievances, and other personnel matters; interviews employees and applicants.
• Prepares reports and routine correspondence in connection with personnel work.
• Processes Civil Service Commission personnel action forms.
• Compiles salary data.
• Contacts the Civil Service Commission to resolve mutual problems.
• Prepares preliminary or draft job specifications.
• Assists in processing Civil Service Commission position certifications.
• Conducts routine desk audits and other reviews of existing positions and groups of positions to determine scope and relationships.
• Maintains records and files.
• Learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
