Position Summary

Amkor Technology is looking for an HR Talent Manager. This position plays a critical role in identifying, nurturing, and retaining top talent within an organization. In addition, this role encompasses responsibilities related to learning and development. The Talent Manager collaborates with various stakeholders to create a holistic approach to employee growth and organizational success. Key initiatives include aligning staff to business objectives, supporting employee development and training programs, succession planning, employee engagement activities, and other strategic HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Succession Planning and Career Development:
    • Identify key positions and potential successors within the organization.
    • Create succession plans to ensure continuity in critical roles.
    • Design career development paths for employees.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiatives.
    • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and one‑on‑one discussions to gauge employee satisfaction.
    • Address skill gaps and enhance employee engagement.
  • Learning and Development:
    • Design and implement training programs that align with organizational goals.
    • Assess learning needs and create customized development plans.
    • Utilize various learning modalities (e.g., workshops, e‑learning, coaching) to enhance employee skills.
  • Performance Management:
    • Responsible for helping to design and implement methods that enhance and recognize employee performance.
    • Work closely with managers to set performance expectations.
    • Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
    • Align performance goals with L&D initiatives.
  • Leadership Development:
    • Identify high‑potential employees and nurture their leadership capabilities.
    • Identify appropriate leadership development programs.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to emerging leaders.
  • Data Analysis Reporting:
    • Track talent metrics (employee satisfaction, training effectiveness).
    • Generate reports to inform decision‑making and improve talent management strategies.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with HR, department heads, and executives.
    • Build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
Required Qualifications
  • The Talent Manager's dual role requires a balance between strategic thinking, people management, and a passion for employee development. Adaptability, empathy, and a growth mindset are essential qualities for success in this position.
  • Human Resources professional with a minimum 6+ years’ experience in progressively responsible HR leadership roles preferably within the semiconductor manufacturing industry both in the US and internationally.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Broad understanding of employment law, employee relations, organizational planning and development, and training.
  • Ability to collaborate with HR functions (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, Staffing, HRIS) to implement and improve HR programs.
  • Ability to influence and build credibility at all levels and establish collaborative working relationships.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
Location

Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside near the local Amkor office or be willing to relocate to be considered.
