The role partners with HR team stakeholders and technology partners to understand business needs, translate requirements into effective Workday solutions, maintain data integrity, and improve the reliability and efficiency of HR processes.

The position independently manages functional assignments within supported Workday areas, solves complex system and process issues using established practices and informed judgment, and serves as a resource to stakeholders and colleagues. The role may lead defined Workday enhancements or small to medium-sized functional initiatives and escalates matters requiring specialized technical expertise, significant cross-functional design decisions, or broader system strategy.

  • Configure, test, validate, and implement approved Workday business process and functional changes within assigned areas, which may include HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Performance, Compensation, Recruiting, and other supported processes.
  • Support recurring and annual HR processes, including open enrollment, performance, compensation, payroll, and other scheduled cycles, with responsibility for assigned configuration, validation, testing, issue resolution, and implementation activities.

  • Monitor system and data integrity through regular audits and analysis of transactions and activity; investigate identified issues, determine root causes, and implement or coordinate approved corrective actions.
  • Participate in Workday release management activities by evaluating relevant functionality, assessing potential business impact, conducting functional and regression testing, documenting results, and supporting implementation of approved changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, Workday functionality, data quality, controls, and the employee or manager experience; develop recommendations and implement approved improvements within assigned scope.
  • Lead or contribute to defined Workday enhancements and small to medium-sized functional initiatives, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain user procedures, functional documentation, testing materials, configuration documentation, and work instructions for supported processes and functionality.
  • Provide functional guidance to end users, HR team stakeholders, and colleagues on Workday processes, reporting, and system functionality; serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience within areas of demonstrated expertise.
  • Collaborate with HR team members, technology partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve functional issues, manage dependencies, and deliver Workday solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
